Two dozen Torch and Edgewood students were enrolled in 3-2-1 Blast Off! – the second year that Bassett Unified has partnered with Citrus College to teach sixth-graders the basics of rocket science. The program concluded in March with presentations and an awards ceremony!

Don Julian Elementary kindergarten students develop problem-solving skills in a makerspace, where they can learn and play with robots such as Bee-bots, Pro-bot cars, Sphero bots and Wonder Workshop’s Dash robots.

Don Julian Elementary teachers are integrating coding and computer science lesson plans into their daily curriculum using code.org, interactive online programs and robotics.

Edgewood Academy sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders can discover career pathways by attending the Career and Technical Education workshop offered by school counselor Veronica Montes.
